DRIPLESS PURIFICATION MANIFOLD AND CARTRIDGE

A cartridge (10) based water purification and filtration system which permits cartridge (10) changes without drainage at the input and output conduits (34 and 50). Interlocking flanges (12 and 14) at the manifold (4) and cartridge (10) lock the cartridge (10) to the manifold (4) and leading edges (16) at the cartridge (10) operate an inlet valve assembly (30) with a rotational seating of the cartridge (10). The inlet valve assembly (30) depends from a manifold bayonet fitting (6) and cooperates with the filter cartridge (10) to prevent forward flow until cartridge (10) is seated to the manifold (4).
