The installation comprises, mounted in technological sequence, units (1, 2) for copper extraction, chemical absorber (20), reactors (31, 41) connected to a pipeline (6), the last three being interconnected by a pipeline (51). The invention may be used in electronic and metal-working industries. Procédé consistant en le traitement d'une solution à l'aide de fer, la chimioabsorption à l'aide de ladite solution d'air et d'oxydes azotés en présence d'acide chlorydrique et à une température comprise entre 0 et 40 °C, suivie de l'oxydation de ladite solution à l'aide d'une quantité d'air 1,5 à 5 fois excédentaire, ainsi que la quantité catalytique des oxydes azotés dans les zones d'oxydation préliminaire et d'oxydation, le processus de la dernière zone ayant lieu à une température comprise entre 45 et 80 °C et avec l'addition d'ions de nitrite et/ou de nitrate dans un rapport de 0,0015 à 0,05:1, par rapport aux ions de fer (II). L'installation comprend, montés en une séquence technologique, des unités (1, 2) d'extraction de cuivre, des absorbeurs chimiques (20), des réacteurs (31, 41) connectés à un pipeline (6), les trois derniers étant interconnectés par un pipeline (51).
