La transmission ci-décrite comporte une vis (1) le long de laquelle est mobile dans une direction longitudinale un ensemble à écrous (2, 8). Ladite transmission est destinée a pouvoir s'arrêter instantanément à partir d'un mouvement axial le long de la vis (1), ou ensemble à écrous possédant un premier écrou de transmission (2) relié par un ressort de compression (10) ou similaire à un second écrou de transmission (8), les deux écrous de transmission (2, 8) possédant un filetage interne approprié à la vis (1). La transmission est destinée par exemple à recevoir une tête d'écriture destinée à un dispositif d'écriture sur un ordinateur et est caractérisée par le fait que les écrous de transmission (2, 8) sont également reliés l'un à l'autre par des élements d'entraînement (6, 9) mobiles dans un sens axial, qui empêchent les écrous (2, 8) de tourner l'un par rapport à l'autre sous l'influence d'une pression provenant du ressort de compression (10).
