This on-vehicle device is capable of connecting a plurality of extension apparatuses. The device is provided with: a plurality of connection parts, corresponding to a plurality of attachment positions for attaching the plurality of extension apparatuses in a vehicle, for connecting the extension apparatus; a plurality of switching elements provided corresponding to each of the plurality of connection parts; and a control unit capable of communicating with the extension apparatus connected to the connection part corresponding to the switching element in an ON state. The control unit puts one of the plurality of switching elements into the ON state, and sets an identifier to the extension apparatus connected to the connection part corresponding to the switching element in the ON state.
