La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation de suvorexant (1) ayant une pureté supérieure à 99,5% par chromatographie liquide haute performance (HPLC). La présente invention concerne également un nouveau procédé de préparation du tartrate de 5 (R)-1-benzyl-5-méthyl -1,4-diazépane (7). La présente invention concerne en outre un procédé pour des formes solides pures de suvorexant (1).
