Le composant d'interface peut être constitué d'un matériau qui est plus rigide que la glénosphère polymère, a une configuration en forme de bol avec un côté convexe et un côté en retrait, le côté convexe étant conçu pour être fixé à la partie évidée circulaire de la glénosphère polymère et le côté en creux étant conçu pour recevoir de manière sécurisée la plaque de base.
