TRAY HOLDER

The present invention is of a tray holder for an autoclave. The tray holder includes a hollow conductive body defining an interior cavity, the shape of the external surface of the conductive body conforming to the shape of the internal surface of an autoclave chamber. The tray holder includes at least one tray support guide attached to the conductive body so that the at least one tray support guide is capable of receiving and holding a sterilization tray in a horizontal position in the hollow cavity. The tray holder includes a mechanism for reversibly shifting the conductive body from a first arrangement with an interior hollow of a first size to a second arrangement with an interior of a second size.
