La présente invention concerne une souche Dunariella salina OH214 ayant une capacité améliorée à produire des pigments, et en particulier de la lutéine. Comme il est possible de produire des pigments caroténoïdes, particulièrement des xanthophylles, avec la souche Dunariella salina OH214 en consommant moins d'énergie, il est possible de produire efficacement des pigments à un niveau industriel. En outre, la souche Dunariella salina OH214 peut être appliquée comme matière première pour les aliments contenant des pigments, les aliments fonctionnels de santé et les produits pharmaceutiques. De plus, la souche Dunariella salina OH214 est une microalgue indigène en Corée et ne pose donc aucun problème d'OGM, il est possible de réduire les coûts en utilisant l'eau de mer comme milieu de culture en Corée, et on peut s'attendre à un effet de développement industriel connexe. 본 발명은 향상된 색소, 특히 루테인 생산능을 갖는 두나리엘라 살리나 OH214 균주에 관한 것으로, 이를 이용하면 적은 에너지를 소모하여, 카로티노이드계 색소, 구체적으로 잔토필을 생산하는 것이 가능하므로 산업 수준에서 효율적으로 색소를 생산할 수 있다. 또한, 색소가 포함되는 식품, 건강기능식품 및 의약품의 원료로 적용이 가능하다. 또한, 국내 자생종 미세조류로서 GMO 문제를 유발하지 않으며, 국내에서 해수를 배양배지로 이용하여 비용을 절감할 수 있고, 관련 산업 발전의 효과도 기대할 수 있다.
