An electronic device according to various embodiments comprises: a camera; a display; and a processor. The processor may be configured to: acquire a first command of a first application related to the camera through an additional function module, which manages additional functions related to the camera, while an application using the camera is running; generate a second command on the basis of the first command and a specified command of the camera through the additional function module; and transmit the second command to the camera to perform a function corresponding to the first command through the additional function module.
