La présente invention concerne un lait de remplacement comprenant une formulation sans matière animale comprenant a) de la vitamine A ou un ester alkylique en C1-20 de celle-ci et facultativement de la vitamine D ; b) de la gomme arabique en une quantité ≤ 20 % en poids ; c) au moins un ingrédient choisi parmi les amidons alimentaires modifiés, les hydrolysats d'amidon, les mono- et disaccharides ; d) au moins un antioxydant ; e) un agent antimottant; f) éventuellement une huile ; g) éventuellement de l'humidité résiduelle ; la somme des quantités a) à f) donnant 100 % en poids et étant basée sur la somme du poids de a) à f), le composé a) étant encapsulé dans une matrice formée par les composés b) et c). La présente invention concerne en outre ladite formulation sans matière animale, ainsi que son utilisation dans un lait de remplacement, en particulier pour des jeunes mammifères non humains, tels que des veaux, des poulains, des chevreaux, des brebis et des chamelons. D'autres objets de la présente invention sont des procédés de fabrication de telles formulations sans matière animale et un tel lait de remplacement.
