MEDICAL USES FOR BENZODIAZEPINES WITH A PARTICULAR EEG PATTERN

The present invention relates to a benzodiazepine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use in inducing and/or maintaining a MOAA/S score of ≤ 1 in a human patient selected from an infant, a child and a patient with a cognitive impairment that is at least mild cognitive impairment, or for use in inducing and/or maintaining a MOAA/S score of ≤ 1 in a patient without causing brain damage, wherein the benzodiazepine or salt is defined by having the property of leading to one or more particular characteristics of an electroencephalogram of a human reference subject in case said benzodiazepine or salt is administered to said reference subject to induce and/or maintain a MOAA/S score of ≤ 1. La présente invention concerne une benzodiazépine ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celle-ci pour une utilisation dans l'induction et/ou le maintien d'un score MOAA/S de ≤ 1 chez un patient humain sélectionné parmi un nourrisson, un enfant et un patient présentant un trouble cognitif qui est au moins un trouble cognitif léger, ou pour une utilisation dans l'induction et/ou le maintien d'un score MOAA/S de ≤ 1 chez un patient sans provoquer de lésion cérébrale, la benzodiazépine ou le sel étant défini en ayant la propriété de conduire à une ou plusieurs caractéristiques particulières de l'électroencéphalogramme d'un sujet humain de référence dans le cas où ladite benzodiazépine ou ledit sel est administré audit sujet de référence pour induire et/ou maintenir un score MOAA/S de ≤ 1.
