This detection device is a device for detecting behavior of a vehicle in a preset detection area using a laser radar that generates point group information by irradiating the detection area with laser light and receiving reflected light resulting from the irradiation with the laser light. This detection device is provided with: an acquisition unit which acquires the point group information; a vehicle detection unit which detects a vehicle on the basis of the point group information; and a behavior detection unit which detects a target behavior, which is a vehicle behavior to be detected when the vehicle detected by the vehicle detection unit travels from a first area to a second area, wherein the first area and the second area are included in the detection area and are set based on the target behavior.
