A first trailer is selected, based on the scores of the trailers, to be associated with the vehicle indicating that the first trailer is physically coupled with the vehicle. L'invention concerne un procédé et un serveur de gestion permettant de déduire automatiquement qu'une remorque est physiquement accouplée à un véhicule. Des premières données de localisation comprenant des emplacements du véhicule sont reçues d'un premier dispositif de passerelle situé sur le véhicule. Des secondes données de localisation sont reçues de seconds dispositifs de passerelle, chacun des seconds dispositifs de passerelle se trouvant sur une remorque respective d'un ensemble de remorques, et chaque seconde donnée de localisation comprenant des emplacements de la remorque respective. Pour chaque remorque qui satisfait un ensemble de critères, un score est calculé sur la base, au moins en partie, des premières données de localisation et des secondes données de localisation de la remorque, le score estimant une mesure d'association de la remorque avec le véhicule.
