A FAUCET SYSTEM

The faucet system, suitable for being positioned in a way to supply a cleaning liquid into a cleaning basin (T), comprising the faucet (K) with the liquid outlet (K1) for the delivery of the cleaning liquid in the form of a liquid column (L) into the cleaning basin (T) and having an open position in which the flow of the cleaning liquid from the liquid outlet (K1) is permitted and a closed position in which the flow of the cleaning liquid from the liquid outlet (K1) is prevented, further comprises the light source that emits a linear light sent as pulses; the sensor detecting the reflection of the light, which is sent by the light source, from an object it hits; and the sensor system (S) including the detection zone (S1) constituted by the light source and the sensor, wherein the sensor system calculates the duration of outbound travel and return for the reflected light to determine the distance of the object from itself, wherein the time of flight for the light is calculated upon the detection of the reflection, from the inner surface of the cleaning basin (T), of the light sent during the initial use to thereby determine this distance and set the distance in the system as the primary distance, wherein the sensor system identifies whether or not the object is an object to be cleaned upon a comparison made between the determined distance for the object and the primary distance, wherein the sensor system enables the flow of the cleaning liquid from the liquid outlet (K1) in case the object is an object that is to be cleaned and enables this flow to be prevented in case the object is not an object that is to be cleaned, and wherein the sensor system is positioned in the faucet (K) in such a way that the detection zone (S1) does not coincide with the liquid column (L).
