According to the method, a data node receives a first updating request from a client, the first updating request carrying updating data and first version information, the first version information being information that is stored by the client and is used for indicating a version that is to use a target data block that is updated by the updating data, and the data volume of the updating data being less than the data volume of an erasure code group; the erasure code group comprises m data blocks and k data-check blocks, both m and k being natural numbers; the data node acquires second version information in response to the first updating request, the second version information being information that is stored in the node and used for indicating the version of the target data block; and the data node processes the updating data according to a matching result between the first version information and the second version information.
