L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un fil de polypropylène (10) au moyen d'un système d'étirage (1), le système d'étirage (1) comprenant au moins deux tours d'étirage (2, 7) associées à au moins un élément chauffant (4), le procédé de production de fil de polypropylène comprenant les étapes suivantes : chauffage du fil de polypropylène (10) préalablement à son introduction dans l'élément chauffant (4), introduction du fil de propylène (10) dans l'élément chauffant (4) et refroidissement du fil de polypropylène (10).
