Zusammenfassung:	An electric cable (10) is disclosed comprising a) at least one cable core (11) comprising at least one power transmissive insulated element (12); and b) a metallic outer armor (19) containing the cable core (11); wherein the outer armor (19) comprises a carbon steel tape (20) wound according to helical interlocked windings, the tape (20) being coated with an aluminum coating layer (22) having a thickness equal to or lower than 50 µm. Furthermore, a process for manufacturing such an electric cable is disclosed. L'invention porte sur un câble électrique (10) qui comprend a) au moins une âme de câble (11) comprenant au moins un élément isolé de transmission d'électricité (12) ; et b) une armure extérieure métallique (19) contenant l'âme de câble (11), l'armure extérieure (19) comprenant une bande d'acier au carbone (20) enroulée selon des enroulements hélicoïdaux imbriqués, la bande (20) étant revêtue d'une couche de revêtement en aluminium (22) présentant une épaisseur inférieure ou égale à 50 µm.
