Le procédé implique de comprimer, séparer et refroidir un flux du gaz de torche comprenant au moins du méthane et des hydrocarbures en C3+ avant son introduction dans une soupape J-T. Le flux refroidi sortant de la soupape J-T est encore séparé, produisant un flux de produit LGN et un flux de gaz non condensé. Le flux de gaz non condensé est dirigé vers une étape de séparation membranaire, qui permet d'obtenir un flux enrichi en hydrocarbures en C3+ et un flux appauvri en hydrocarbures en C3+.
