In addition to an ELISA, said assays can be performed by adsorption of the recombinant protein on other solid substrates and using various detection systems, including agglutination tests, immunochromatography, immunofluorescence, western blot, dot blot and biosensor. Said recombinant protein can also be used for producing vaccines. The present technology could be used in the composition of a novel diagnostic kit for CVL which is more sensitive and specific than currently available technologies. La présente invention vise à caractériser le gène Lc36 de L. chagasi en termes de potentiel antigénique, en vue d'une validation postérieure et d'une application de son produit respectif, la protéine recombinante rLc36, dans un test diagnostique pour les leishmanioses, de préférence pour la leishmaniose viscérale canine (LVC). La protéine peut être utilisée dans l'industrie biotechnologique comme composant de trousses de diagnostic pour la détection d'anticorps de la classe IgG dans la LVC par essai immunoenzymatique. Outre ELISA, les essais peuvent être réalisés par adsorption de la protéine recombinante sur d'autres supports solides et avec différents systèmes de détection incluant le test d'agglutination, l'immunochromatographie, l'immunofluorescence, le transfert Western, le transfert en point et le biocapteur.
