Provided is an organic dye sensitizer having a general formula as represented by formula (I), wherein A is an electron-deficient unit and electron acceptor; D is an electron-rich unit and electron donor; N is an electron neutral organic structural unit having no obvious electron push-and-pull capability; is a connecting unit with a conjugated structure; Ar is a conjugate aromatic ring system chromophore unit or a conjugate combination of two or more of the structural units; B is a structural unit bonded to the nanopore surface of the photoanode of a dye sensitized battery cell so as to transport the electrons excited by irradiating dye sensitizer molecules with visible and ultraviolet light, forming electric currents; n is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6.
