PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING ANG-(1-7) OR ANOTHER MAS RECEPTOR AGONIST IN COMBINATION WITH PI3K/AKT INHIBITORS FOR THERAPEUTIC ANTI-CANCER TREATMENT

The present invention describes pharmaceutical compositions containing a combination of Ang-(1-7) or another Mas receptor agonist with PI3K/Akt, for therapeutic anti-cancer treatment. The combination of Ang-(1-7) and PI3K/Akt inhibitors inhibits progression of the cancer by inhibiting cell growth or proliferation or by activating cell death by apoptosis in mammals, particularly in humans. La présente invention concerne des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant une combinaison d'Ang-(1-7) ou d'un autre agoniste du récepteur Mas avec des inhibiteurs PI3K/Akt, pour le traitement thérapeutique anticancer. La combinaison d'Ang-(1-7) et d'inhibiteurs de PI3K/Akt provoque l'inhibition de la progression du cancer par inhibition de la croissance ou de la prolifération cellulaire, ou l'activation de la mort cellulaire par apoptose chez des mammifères, et notamment chez l'être humain. A presente invenção descreve composições farmacêuticas contendo uma combinação de Ang-(1-7) ou outro agonista do receptor Mas com inibidores de PI3K/Akt, para o tratamento terapêutico anticâncer. A combinação de Ang-(1-7) e inibidores de PI3K/Akt acarreta a inibição da progressão do câncer através da inibição do crescimento ou proliferação celular ou a ativação da morte celular por apoptose em mamíferos, particularmente em humanos.
