The invention relates to a hydrostatic energy converter for converting oscillating kinetic energy of a coupling point into rotational energy, wherein two differential cylinders acting as linear pumps or two plunger cylinders are coupled at the coupling point. The action directions or piston rods of the two cylinders can be directed toward each other. The energy converter can be used in a wave power plant.
