After forming the final composition, an optimum performance index (OPI) is determined for the composition to ensure that the composition has an OPI of at least about 5.450. The OPI is calculated as: OPI = 3 ÷ (solids wt.% + Zein score) ÷ performance grade). L'invention porte sur un procédé pour formuler une composition de nettoyage pour l'hygiène personnelle. Au moins un agent tensio-actif primaire, au moins un second agent tensio-actif amphotère et/ou non ionique secondaire, au moins un humectant et au moins un conditionneur polymère et/ou quaternaire sont choisis, chacun de ces composants ayant une origine naturelle et de ressource renouvelable. Les agents tensio-actifs primaire et secondaire sont combinés avec le ou les humectants et le ou les conditionneurs en une composition finale qui comprend les agents tensio-actifs primaire et secondaire combinés à moins d'environ 14 % en poids, et comprend le ou les humectants et le ou les conditionneurs combinés à moins de 5,5 % en poids.
