L'ensemble électrode présente une structure cathode/séparateur/anode pouvant être chargée et déchargée. Les séparateurs, qui font saillie au-delà des extrémités supérieures des électrodes, sont courbés dans un sens et sont traités thermiquement de façon que leur état courbé soit maintenu ; et une couche de revêtement isolant est formée sur la surface courbée des séparateurs.
