Tension is applied longitudinally to the fabric and fluid is introduced, into the cavity to at least partially inflate the mold and shape the fabric. The mold is shaped to a desired shape while maintaining the fabric under tension. The elongated annular space and the fabric are infused with a rigidification material. The rigidification material is hardened while maintaining the fabric in tension to form a rigid hollow composite construction member. Procédé de fabrication d'un élément de construction composite creux du type convenant comme matériau de construction, comportant l'étape consistant à produire un ensemble moule gonflable allongé comprenant un axe longitudinal, une paroi de réservoir souple tubulaire définissant une cavité gonflable allongée, un tissu de renforcement placé de façon concentrique autour de la paroi de réservoir souple, et une couche extérieure souple imperméable à l'air placée de façon concentrique autour du tissu, la paroi de réservoir souple et la couche extérieure définissent un espace annulaire allongé contenant le tissu. On tend longitudinalement le tissu et on introduit un fluide dans la cavité de façon à gonfler au moins partiellement le moule et à mettre en forme le tissu. On donner au moule une forme souhaitée tout en maintenant le tissu tendu. On imprègne l'espace annulaire allongé et le tissu d'une matière rigidifiante. On fait durcir la matière rigidifiante tout en maintenant le tissu tendu pour former un élément de construction composite creux rigide.
