L'invention concerne un procédé de forage d'une strate capable de forer une strate comme une couche renfermant une ressource souterraine dans un liquide par irradiation laser dans le liquide. On applique un faisceau laser transmis par un moyen de transmission laser (20), sous forme de faisceau laser d'une longueur d'onde de forte capacité d'absorption par rapport au liquide (90), à partir d'un moyen générateur de bulles à induction laser (35) dans le liquide (90) pour générer un courant de bulles (36) et une strate existant dans le liquide est forée en utilisant une force de fracturation induite par laser. D'autre part, un faisceau laser (41) présentant une faible capacité d'absorption par rapport au liquide (90) est appliqué depuis un moyen d'irradiation laser (39) et passé à travers le courant de bulles (36) de manière à appliquer une force d'action thermique à la strate, pour ainsi fracturer la roche et forer la strate. La force de fracturation et la force d'action thermique peuvent être combinées.
