La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de purifier du 1,3-propanediol issu du bouillon de fermentation d'une culture de E. coli qui a été traité par génie biologique pour synthétiser le 1,3-propanediol à partir du sucre. Le procédé de base fait intervenir une filtration, un échange d'ions et une distillation du diluat du bouillon de fermentation, de préférence avec réduction chimique du produit pendant la distillation. L'invention concerne également des compositions hautement purifiées à base de 1,3-propanediol. |
