Disclosed is a method for heating an interior of a vehicle via the waste heat of an internal combustion engine operating with exhaust gas recirculation. According to said method, the exhaust gas recirculation process is used for heating the interior via a heat exchanger, injection being specifically targeted towards diminishing the degree of efficiency of the internal combustion engine in low-load operating periods thereof, especially in the warm-up phase thereof, as opposed to the degree of efficiency of the internal combustion engine during injection targeted towards performance optimization thereof. L'invention concerne un procédé pour chauffer l'habitacle d'un véhicule par l'intermédiaire de la chaleur perdue d'un moteur à combustion fonctionnant avec un système de recirculation des gaz d'échappement. Selon ce procédé, la recirculation des gaz d'échappement est utilisée pour chauffer l'habitacle par l'intermédiaire d'un échangeur de chaleur. Dans les domaines de fonctionnement à faible charge du moteur à combustion, notamment au cours de la phase de chauffe, l'injection est réglée de façon ciblée de manière à réduire le rendement du moteur à combustion par rapport à son rendement en cas d'injection réglée de manière à optimiser la puissance dudit moteur à combustion.
