La présente invention concerne des méthodes et un appareil destinés au traitement de crise cardiaque congestive au moyen d'un cathéter présentant une extrémité d'entrée configurée pour être placée à la source de sang artériel tel que l'aorte, un ventricule gauche ou une artère fémorale, et une extrémité de sortie présentant au moins un conduit configuré de façon à être placé dans les artères rénales. Ce cathéter comprend un lumen au travers duquel le sang passe de l'aorte ou du ventricule gauche directement à l'artère rénale, et des moyens destinés à engager le premier conduit avec l'artère rénale. Ces moyens permettent aussi de réduire un flux de retour sanguin dans l'aorte abdominale. Le cathéter est de préférence configuré afin de permettre une implantation transluminale percutanée.
