The TFT element has a reverse stagger structure, with the substrate insulating layer being arranged between the electroconductive substrate and a gate electrode of the TFT element, a gate insulating layer of the TFT element is arranged between a drain electrode of the TFT element and the electroconductive substrate, and an electric capacitor is formed in a part of the substrate insulating layer between the drain electrode and the electroconductive substrate. The electric capacitor is set based on the gate insulating layer of a film thickness smaller than a thickness of the substrate insulating layer without causing insulating breakdown.
