Treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension with beta 3-adrenergic agonists

Substituted 5-2-((2-aryl-2-hydroxyethyl)amino)propyl)-1,3-benzodioxoles having the structural formula: (I) wherein R4, R5, R6, R7, and R8 are as hereinafter defined, are beta 3-adrenergic agonists useful in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure and glaucoma.
