The work table is made in such a form that it tightly seals the opening upon introduction into the chamber. The chamber walls adjacent to the opening are inclined with respect to the horizontal plane at an angle which is greater than the angle of friction of the material being treated with the chamber walls. Thus, the treated material is fed under gravity to the work table when the table is withdrawn from the chamber.
