Zusammenfassung:	The steps of leaching copper values from oxide ores, mixed sulfide-oxide ores, and other oxide copper bearing materials in an aqueous medium or suspension containing soluble sulfites or bisulfites and precipitating the copper as copper sulfide in an aqueous medium or suspension containing elemental sulfur and soluble sulfites or bisulfites. The precipitated copper, along with any other copper present as elemental copper or copper sulfide, is then separated by conventional methods.
