The portion of the tracheostomy tube which extends outside of the patient is hinged to a swivel neck flange which makes the tube adaptable to various anatomies. The tube leading to the sealing balloon is controlled by an isolation valve outside of the patient which allows quick sealing and releasing of the pressure within the sealing balloon.
