Crystalline polypropylene is stabilized by admixing therewith an hydroxybenzyl phosphonate, a substituted 1,3,5-triazine and a diester of thiodipropionic acid. The compositions may also contain pigments, delustrants, plasticizers, flame retardants, antistatic agents and lubricants, e.g. calcium stearate, and may be moulded into shaped articles such as filaments. Preferred stabilizers are 3,5-di-t-butyl-4- hydroxy-benzyl phosphonate, 2,4 - bis(3,5 - di -tbutyl - 4 - hydroxy - phenoxy) - 6 - (n - octylthio) - 1,3,5-triazine and dilauryl, distearyl and stearyl lauryl thiodipropionate.
