Zusammenfassung:	Coloured gelatine capsules which may bear printed indicia are made by optionally printing the indicia on to a gelatine sheet, forming the gelatine into capsules containing encapsulated material and then surface dyeing with a dye in an alcoholic/aqueous solution. The alcohol may be any lower alkanol and the dye should be soluble in the alcoholic/aqueous medium. A continuous process for effecting the process is described and examples are given.
