The elongated neck 33 (Fig. 3) of the bag of the parent Specification is closed by folding the neck down several times and then securing the folds by a strip 37 attached in a loop defined by the two plies. In the form shown the strip 20 has press fasteners 21, 22. The loop is formed by cutting notches 40 and the strip 37 is secured by staples or welds 41. Double welds 37 may form the margins of the bag.
