Zusammenfassung:An improved imaging device for use with indicia decoding operations is provided with a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) including: a semiconductor substrate, an upper distributed Bragg reflector (DBR), a lower DBR coupled to the substrate, and at least one photodiode integrated into the substrate which is positioned to receive leakage light from the lower DBR, wherein the VCSEL is configured to emit a beam of light away from the substrate.
