Zusammenfassung:	A method for generating tokens for use in an email-based e-commerce transaction between third party vendor and a customer that is facilitated by a payment server is disclosed. The method may comprise generating a token for use with an email checkout, wherein the token comprises a customer name, and customer email address. The processor may generate an email message for at least one recipient, the email message including a mailto hyperlink including the token, wherein the mailto hyperlink generates an email response message addressed to the payment server including the token. The method may comprise receiving a notification from the payment server indicating that the at least one recipient that the email response message was successfully received by the payment server and the email-based e-commerce transaction is successful.
