Zusammenfassung:A motor vehicle lock, in particular a motor vehicle door lock, which is equipped with a locking mechanism consisting of a rotary latch and at least one pawl. An actuating lever mounted in a lock case for rotation about an axis is also provided. The pawl is mounted on the actuating lever for rotation about an axis. According to the invention, the rotary latch applies a closing moment on the pawl when the locking mechanism is in the closed state, which moment transitions into an opening moment on the pawl when the locking mechanism is opened as a result of the associated movement of the actuating lever and the shifting of the axis for the pawl.
