Zusammenfassung:	An iconographic control panel of an image forming apparatus is provided. The iconographic control panel includes a plurality of physical iconographic control buttons respectively corresponding to a plurality of functions of the image forming apparatus, each of the plurality of physical iconographic control buttons comprising at least one dedicated light emitting diode, and at least one processor to determine an availability of the plurality of functions of the image forming apparatus respectively corresponding to each of the plurality of physical iconographic control buttons, determine a functional state of the plurality of functions of the image forming apparatus determined to be available, and control an illumination of the at least one LED of each of the plurality of physical iconographic control buttons based on the availability of each function corresponding to each of the plurality of physical iconographic control buttons and the functional state of each function determined to be available.
