Zusammenfassung:Methods providing reliable and non-invasive ways to suppress spreading depolarization waves leading to cortical spreading depression are disclosed. The calcium conductance parameter of the 6 component Tuckwell model of spreading depolarization wave propagation is modified using Anderson Localization and other methods to disrupt the propagation of the waves, thus suppressing and eliminating spreading depolarization.
