A bioactive composite includes 10% to 40% by weight of calcium sulfate (CaSO4), 10% to 20% by weight of tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5), and 40% to 80% of polyetheretherketone (PEEK). Calcium sulfate is anhydrous calcium made by removing crystallization water of beta calcium sulfate hemihydrate.
