Zusammenfassung:	There are provided a mounting device and an imaging unit through which it is possible to easily perform various imaging techniques with an imaging device that cooperates with an information processing device according to cooperation between the devices. Provided is a mounting device that enables an imaging device configured to transmit an image to an external display device to be detachable from an external device, the mounting device including: a first mounting portion configured to be mounted on the imaging device; a second mounting portion configured to be mounted on the external device; and a rotation mechanism through which the first mounting portion and the second mounting portion are rotatable.
