Zusammenfassung:In accordance with one embodiment, a printer comprises a plurality of communication interfaces; an operation interface setting section configured to set at least one of the plurality of communication interfaces as an operation interface and set the other communication interfaces as non-operation interfaces; a first command processing section configured to process a command received by the operation interface; and a second command processing section configured to execute the processing of the command in a case in which the command received by the non-operation interface is a command for requesting internal information of the printer, and not to execute the processing of the command in a case in which the command received by the non-operation interface is not a command for requesting the internal information.
