Zusammenfassung:	An internal gear shift for a manual transmission is provided. The internal gear shaft includes a shifting shaft mounted rotationally moveably about its axis and displaceably in axial direction, counter-engagement means, and at least two engagement elements. The engagement elements interact with the counter-engagement means in order to lock the shifting shaft in at least one rotary position and in at least one stroke position. One of the engagement elements locks the shifting shaft in the stroke position and the other engagement element locks the shifting shaft in the rotary position. The engagement elements are movable against the counter-engagement means through the force of a common spring element.
