Zusammenfassung:	A golf putter head is provided that includes an upper plate and a base plate. The base plate further includes a striking surface. The mass of the putter head is distributed such that the mass of the upper plate is greater than the mass of the base plate, thereby positioning the center of gravity of the putter head above a centerline of said striking surface and an equator of a golf ball when the golf ball is positioned proximate to the striking surface of the golf putter head.
