Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides one or more reinforcing members configured to act together with the adhesive bonding between filter media layers to further resist axial deformation forces such as induced by fluid flowing through the filter and thereby acting to retain the structural form and integrity of the filter element. Also disclosed is a method of reinforcing layers of a multilayer axial filter element against displacement of the layers.
