Zusammenfassung:	A turbocharger system for use with an engine having a braking mode of operation is disclosed. The turbocharger system may have a turbocharger with variable geometry, and a sensor situated to generate a signal indicative of a turbocharger speed. The turbocharger system may also have a controller in communication with the turbocharger and the sensor. The controller may be configured to vary the geometry of the turbocharger during the engine's braking mode of operation to increase a backpressure of the engine. The controller may also be configured to vary the geometry of the turbocharger to reduce the backpressure when the signal indicates a speed of the turbocharger within an amount of a desired speed.
