Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	A monitoring system for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system of a building is disclosed. The monitoring system includes at least one processor and a computer readable medium that includes instructions executable by the at least one processor. The instructions include: determining a capacity of a filter of the HVAC system based at least on dimensions of the filter; determining a threshold based on the capacity of the filter; monitoring a state of a circulator blower of the HVAC system; and calculating a filter usage based on the state of the circulator blower and one of (i) a power consumed by the circulator blower and (ii) an operation mode of the HVAC system. The instructions also include generating, in response to the filter usage exceeding the threshold, an alert suggesting replacement of the filter.
